Diagnosis

(after Judd & Perina 2013): The principal diagnostic characters are: pleopod exopodites interlocking with pleopod 5 covered by pleopod 4; schisma absent on pereonite 1, but interlocking structures present in the form of a tooth-like inner lobe on ventral surface of epimera 1 and 2; distal part of uropod protopodite longer than broad and tapering; and body with dorsal surface convex and epimera tending horizontal at the margins.
