Central Sand Wolf Spider Alopecosa leonhardii (Strand, 1913)

Diagnosis

Alopecosa leonhardii differs from the second species in Genus 3448 by the black ventral tibia of the fourth leg, in addition to subtle differences in genital morphology. The tegular apophysis of the male pedipalp has the basal branch much thinner and rod-like, whilst it is forming a curved claw with the upper branch in Genus 3448 FP-12185.

Alopecosa madigani (Hickman, 1944) is an unpublished junior synonym of A. leonhardii.
