Dorsoventrally flattened animal with limited conglobation ability. Pereonal epimera horizontal and dorsum with prominent ornamentation. Large paddle-like structures at inner margin of pereonal epimera. Frontal shield extending forward with incision in the central part. Simple endolobes on first pereonite only. Uropod protopod much reduced in size and not contributing to body outline.
Undescribed genus of Armaillidae allocated the tempary name 'Reduropoda' in reference to the unique form of the uropod protopodite.
