Diagnosis

(after Judd & Perina 2013): The principal diagnostic characters of Ligia exotica are: uropod exopodites long, extending beyond the uropod protopodite; multi-articulate flagellum with more than 5 segments and the large eye consisting of more than 100 ommatidia.
