Earwig Labidura FP-11021
Discoverer: V.W. Framenau (2021)

Fauna Portal species: 11021
Family: Labiduridae

Diagnosis

This species differs from L. tuncata by a dark line along the abdomen that has a narrow light incision centrally. No other mature or juvenile L. truncata examined has this characteristic pattern.

Australia

  • Western Australia

Appearance

There are only two specimens of this species, both juveniles, and both found in populations of Labidura truncata. They may therefore be some unusually coloured specimens of L. truncata.
