Diagnosis
This species differs from L. tuncata by a dark line along the abdomen that has a narrow light incision centrally. No other mature or juvenile L. truncata examined has this characteristic pattern.

Appearance
There are only two specimens of this species, both juveniles, and both found in populations of Labidura truncata. They may therefore be some unusually coloured specimens of L. truncata.
